Who we are

Allouria ("we", "us", "our") is an online shop based in the United Kingdom, selling silk pillowcases at allouria.com. We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy. You can contact us at hello@allouria.com or via our Contact page.

What we collect

- Contact details: your name, email address, phone number (if given), and billing and delivery addresses.
- Order details: what you buy, order history, and any messages you send us.
- Payment information: processed securely by our payment providers. We never see or store your full card details.
- Device and browsing information: such as your IP address, browser type and how you use our website, collected through cookies.
- Marketing preferences: whether you've signed up to our emails.

How we use it, and why

- To process and deliver your order and handle any returns (necessary to perform our contract with you).
- To send order confirmations, delivery updates and reply to your questions (contract and legitimate interests).
- To send marketing emails, only if you've signed up (consent). You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.
- To prevent fraud and keep our website secure (legitimate interests).
- To understand how our website is used and improve it, and to show relevant adverts, including on Google (consent, through our cookie settings, and legitimate interests).
- To meet our legal and accounting obligations (legal obligation).

Who we share it with

We only share your information with trusted providers who help us run our shop:

- Shopify, which hosts our website and processes orders and payments.
- Payment providers, to take payment securely.
- Our suppliers and delivery partners, who receive your name, delivery address and order details so your order can be made up and delivered to you.
- Google, for advertising and website analytics.

We never sell your personal information.

International transfers

Some of our providers, including our suppliers, are based outside the UK, for example in the United States and China. Where your information is transferred outside the UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or standard contractual clauses, or on the transfer being necessary to deliver your order.

Cookies

We use cookies to make our website work, remember your basket, understand how the site is used and show relevant adverts. You can choose which non-essential cookies you accept using the cookie banner, and change your browser settings at any time.

How long we keep it

We keep order and payment records for six years to meet UK tax and accounting rules. Marketing data is kept until you unsubscribe. Other information is kept only as long as we need it for the purposes above.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

- ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct or delete it;
- object to or restrict how we use it;
- ask us to transfer it to another provider;
- withdraw your consent at any time, for example to marketing.

Complaints

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please contact us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
